ALASKA

Majestic Mountain Outfitters operates in two exclusive guide areas in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve. We take a limited number of hunters which keeps our success rate high and the trophy quality great. The hunts are backpack hunts so you need to be in the best shape of your life to fully enjoy your experience. We take pride in managing the area which helps maintain the resource for years to come.

This is truly a hunt of a lifetime!

Species Hunted

We hunt grizzly and black bear in the spring and Dall sheep, moose, grizzly bear, black bear, and wolf in the fall. We have single species and combination hunts available depending on the dates. Our spring bear hunts are ten days, sheep are nine, moose are eight, and our all species combo hunts are eighteen.

We also hunt brown bear on the Alaska Peninsula, check it out here!

Fully Guided

Our hunts are one-on-one and each hunter will be paired with their own guide for the entire hunt (unless requested otherwise). All of our guides are experienced, knowledgeable, and highly trained.

Location

We guide in two exclusive concessions in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. We are the only outfitter allowed to guide in these areas. We take care of these areas, treating the land as if it was our own and managing the game so it will flourish. Click on the link at the bottom of the page to learn about how we take care of our concessions.

Accommodations

At base camp we have a large Weatherport tent for the cook shack and 10x10 Bombshelter tents that sleep two people. When sheep hunting, we stay in small 1-3 men pup tents. When moose and bear hunting, we stay in Bombshelters, wall tents, a cabin, or Arctic Oven, depending on the location.

Meals

The meals at base camp are all home cooked and hearty, sure to satisfy your hunger. When out hunting, the meals are freeze-dried for dinner and breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and plenty of snacks throughout the day.

Transportation

The client has to get to Tok, Alaska and from there they pay a charter fee to be flown out to our remote camp.

Global Rescue

We strongly  recommend that you enroll in a Global Rescue Membership before you set out on your hunting trip with us. Global Rescue provides medical evacuations from the field and they also offer trip insurance for the cost of your hunt.

For more info or to enroll in a plan for as little as $159 CLICK HERE!

Physical Condition

The hunts are all backpack and you will need to be in great shape. The sheep hunts are the most intense and you will need to be in the best shape of your life, ready to hike anywhere from 10-20 miles a day. The moose and bear hunts are less intense, but you still need to be in great shape, able to hike an upwards of 5-10 miles a day.

License & Tags

All tags, licenses, and harvest tickets must be purchased online and received prior to leaving for your hunt. You MUST have your hunting license and appropriate tags and harvest tickets to legally hunt.

To get your tags and harvest tickets CLICK HERE!

Success Rate

This varies from client to client, but if you come in shape and can shoot well, we will have a great chance at filling your tag. Usually it is 75-95% depending on the species.
