About the business
Majestic Mountain Outfitters is a family owned and operated business with every part built around quality and success. Jeff’s three decades of experience in guiding big game hunts is apparent in all aspects of their commitment to you - the hunter. They have achieved an excellent reputation in every area of the hunting industry— from scheduling a small number of hunts to their success in the field — they demonstrate an absolute dedication to the commitment that was made when the hunt was booked.
Majestic Mountain Outfitters, Inc. began as a dream Jeff Chadd had in high school. After meeting and marrying Cyndi in Nebraska in 1983, they took out a loan so he could go to Guide School in Montana. Within a year of being married, they packed up everything and headed to Alaska with only a name and number of a guide who needed help. Jeff ended up landing a job with Clark Engle in July of 1984 and worked for him until his death in 1987. Jeff acquired his Registered Guide license in 1988 and worked in the Brooks Range that year.
In 1989, MMO started when Jeff acquired the permits to guide in the Alaska Range. They moved to the Chugach in 1991 when they purchased five deeded acres and a lodge on Manker Creek. In 1992 Jeff started guiding in Montana and Colorado each fall after the Alaska season was over. They operated out of the lodge for twelve years, raising the boys in the bush. They moved the operation to the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve in 2002. Now they have two concessions in the Wrangells and multiple private ranches in Montana they lease.
Majestic Mountain Outfitters has experienced many external changes, but its commitment to their clients and a positive hunting experience has remained the same. They do everything within their power to ensure that the clients have an enjoyable and successful experience. They use top-of-the-line equipment and gear, guaranteeing the comfort and safety of their clients. They work their hardest to make sure their clients have the experience of a lifetime and leave with the trophy they came in search of.
