Jeff Chadd's four decades of experience in guiding big game hunts is apparent in all areas of their commitment to you—the hunter. They have achieved an excellent reputation in every part of the hunting industry— from scheduling a small number of quality hunts to their success in the field — they demonstrate an absolute dedication to the commitment that was made when the hunt was booked.
hISTORY of the business
Majestic Mountain Outfitters, Inc. began as a dream Jeff Chadd had in high school. After meeting and marrying Cyndi in Nebraska in 1983, they took out a loan so he could go to guide school in Montana. Within a year of being married, they packed up everything they owned and headed to Alaska with only the name and number of a guide who needed help. But when that outfitter fell through, Jeff landed a job with Clark Engle in July 1984 and worked for him until Clark’s death in 1987. Jeff gained his Registered Guide license in 1988 and worked in the Brooks Range that year.
In 1989, Jeff created Majestic Mountain Outfitters when he acquired the permits to guide in the Alaska Range. They later moved to the Chugach Mountains in 1991 when they purchased five deeded acres and a lodge on Manker Creek. In 1992, Jeff started guiding in Montana and Colorado each fall after the Alaska season. They operated out of the lodge for twelve years, raising their two boys—Joshua and Caleb—in the bush. They moved the operation to the Wrangell Mountains in 2002. In 2017, they bought a coveted concession on the Alaska peninsula for brown bears. Now they have an exclusive concession in the Katmai National Park and Preserve and lease multiple private ranches in Montana.
Majestic Mountain Outfitters has experienced many external changes, but its commitment to their clients and a positive hunting experience has remained the same. They do everything within their power to ensure that the clients have an enjoyable and successful experience. Including the use of top-of-the-line equipment and gear that guarantees the comfort and safety of their clients. They work their hardest to ensure their clients have the experience of a lifetime and leave with the trophy they came in search of.
